Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island (NHPRI) is a nonprofit health insurance plan serving Rhode Island Medicaid members. It is one of the primary managed care plans for people enrolled in RI Medicaid (RIte Care), including the Long-Term Services & Supports (LTSS) program.
If you are enrolled in RI Medicaid and your plan is through NHPRI, your home care services including personal care, homemaker services, and CNA care are covered through NHPRI's LTSS benefit.
In Home WellCare is an NHPRI-approved home care provider, which means we can accept NHPRI Medicaid for eligible members — at no cost to you.

How NHPRI Home Care Works
NHPRI Authorizes Care
Your NHPRI care coordinator assesses your needs and authorizes a set number of home care hours per week.
You Choose Your Provider
You have the right to select your preferred home care agency. Ask for In Home WellCare — we're NHPRI-approved and CHAP accredited.
Care Begins, NHPRI Pays
Your caregiver starts on your schedule. NHPRI pays us directly and there is no charge to you for covered services.
Am I Enrolled in NHPRI?
If you have Rhode Island Medicaid (RIte Care), you are enrolled in a managed care plan. NHPRI is one of the plans available. To check which plan you're in:
- Check your Medicaid card — your plan name is usually listed

Note: Even if you are not enrolled in NHPRI specifically, you may still qualify for LTSS home care through RI Medicaid via another plan or directly through EOHHS. Call us and we'll help you find the right path.
